This meeting is part of the Ohio Chapter, American College of Surgeons 2008 Annual Meeting. There is no charge to attend the OCOT Meeting. The meeting will be held at:

During the Ohio Committee on Trauma meeting members will review the latest changes in the trauma
verification process and give an update on the new version of the ATLS course, which will be introduced in 2008. This session will also review recent trauma related legislation and update members on proposed changed in Geriatric Referrals to Trauma Centers.

Join us Saturday morning (7:00 am – 8:30 am) for the keynote breakfast presentation sponsored by the Ohio Committee on Trauma with keynote speaker Carol R. Shermer. Shermer’s presentation titled, Alcohol, injury, and Interventions, will include a discussion of the impact of alcohol on injury and methods to prevent recurrent injury.
